Following ongoing efforts to revive the Cameroon Airline Corporation (Camair-Co.), the American Company Boeing has propose a 5 year budget plan worth about 327billion FCFA to the government of Cameroon for a successful revival of the airline.
Base on reports given to the government of Cameroon last June 2016 by the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing, a global sum of 223billion FCFA should be invested into the company for the purchase and rental of airplanes to increase the company’s number of crafts from 5 to 14 within a period of 5years. This amount comes in after a successful release of 57billion FCFA to buy back Camair-Co’s debt in the past month.
According to the report signed by the Regional Marketing Director of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, an urgent investment of 78.9billion FCFA is needed within the first 2years of the project for aircraft rentals to ensure the success of the 5 years project plan.
Amazing Cameroon learned that a transport expert and consultant from whom Camair-Co. usually seeks advice finds the plans of Boeing ambitious and outweighs the actual difficulties of the company, some of which he mentioned as debt, and inadequate technical facilities.
