Mount Kupe or Mont Koupé is a plutonic mountain found in the South Western Region of Cameroon, in the Western High Plateau part of the Cameroon volcanic line of volcanoes. The plutonic volcanic mountain is 2, 064m (6, 772fts) the highest of the Bakossi mountains. The mountain is refered by the local Bakossi people as the home and forest of their ancestors especially from the rich agricultural and biodiversity nature of the Mountain and it forest. Mount Kupe is home for several endangered species such as Chimpanzees and several species of threatened primates.
